Today, for the first time my Instinct 2x solar recorded moving AND total time for my 1000 m pool swim. I'm so happy and hope this wasn't a fluke

Does anyone else experience this?

I checked my pool activities with Instinct 2, and they all have Time, Moving Time, and Elapsed Time correctly recorded. What was missing in your case?

Since I got the watch all times have always been the same for pool swims. Open water times behave as expected. This is from two days ago. It's as if the watch received a firmware update

It do not think it is firmware related. I own the I2 since 3 years and the times were always all right, with all versions of the firmware. More likely you moved the arms all the time, perhaps even during rests.
