How to connect Garmin Connect app with a third party app?

A third party app needs the information from Garmin Connect app to identify the my health status. Information includes number of steps. However, I can't find the third party app in list that I can choose to connect.

Which app? Not all apps are supported. Do they claim they can fetch data from Garmin?

An insurance app which claims only three apps are accepted to connect. Garmin is one of the choice. Actually, I have once connected the app with Garmin Connect. However, when I re-download the app, I can't find the app in the list again.

Look up the website of the insurance, or contact their Support and ask them, for the exact steps needed to connect their app to GC. Their app will appear on the list of 3rd apps in Garmin Connect only once their app sends a request to Garmin's API. It means the connection has to be initiated on their side first, and only then you can accept the request in Garmin Connect.
