Audio Prompts no longer working on any device.

My audio prompts no longer work on any of my Garmin devices. These all had been working fine before on my Instinct and Garmin 530. I have the most recent version of Connect (5.6), audio prompts are definitly enabled  in the connect app and have been sync'ed. I've tried connecting various bluetooth devices to test and none work. This seems to be an issue with the app as far as I can tell. Anyone else having issues with this currently?

  • Are you connecting headphones to the watch or the phone for the audio prompts?

    In the Audio Prompts page in Garmin Connect you can press the Alert Volume option at the bottom of the page to test the alert. Does that work? Make sure you got sound on in the phone.

  • No alert volume option in the Audio Prompts page, v.5.6.

    Same issue with 5.6 and Forerunner 255. All other audio works fine but audio prompts not coming through any more.

  • Nope. Connection has'nt changed, it was always setup through the phone . Volume is at max. I've tried testing this by setting an audio prompt to go off every 1 min and it never sent any prompts . Definitly seems like a bug or they disable this setting.

  • Same here. Tested in Garmin connect and no audio regardless of using the volume buttons.

  • I've been having this problem with 5.6, Forerunner 255, Android 14.

    I went through all these setting before I'm sure: on the watch, Hold UP, Select Audio Prompts... and go through all the options to make sure everything is on. (Contrary to what the online manual says, there is no Workout Alerts or Activity Alerts or Dialect settings in the Audio Prompts submenu).

    And when I tested it with a workout, the voice prompts came back! Not sure what I did, but I'm pretty sure I didn't change any settings from what they were before. I went through those previous menus several times already previous with no fix, and this time it did.

    The only thing I can think of is that this time I made sure that the Garmin Connect app was running in foreground when I started the workout.
