Not able to share LiveTrack through app

Recently I've upgraded to FR955 and since then I can no longer share LiveTrack throught the app "share" button - if this has anything to do with it. Sometimes during Livetracking I iwant to add someone else to follow my activity (someone besides the ones listed in the app) and this was super useful. However as I said, it doesn't work anymore, nothing happens when I touch the button. Maybe I switched something off accidentally, I have no clue.

    This is no longer possible. To use the LiveTrack feature you need to set up your contacts in the Garmin Connect app before starting an activity.

    A possible workaround is to setup your own email as a LiveTrack recipient. Start the activity, then forward the Live Track invitation to the person(s) you want to see it. Alternatively, you could copy the "Watch My Activity on LiveTrack" link within the email you received and send it via email or text.

    Either that share icon should be removed or Garmin is not aware that it no longer works. I recommend reaching out to Product Support through their website at https://support.garmin.com.

    Thanks. It's a shame they removed this option. I thought about the same solution with sending livetrack to my own mail :)

    I reported the issue to Garmin Product Support on Saturday. I received a response today. They requested a video capture of the issue, which I submitted via their secure upload site.

    I received a response today from Garmin Product Support.

    We're following up on the report we received that when trying to manually share your LiveTrack sessions using the share button in your Connect app, the button didn't function to bring up a share dialogue. We're pleased to report that this issue has been resolved with the 5.6 release of our Connect app, which is available now through your phone's app store. If you update your Connect app to the latest version, you'll no longer experience this issue. Please note that if you have any remaining issues with Live Event Share, those issues would be addressed separately.

    I tested sharing a link to LiveTrack from the app. This function now works again.
