Step goal in 'At a Glance' not the same as the goal in 'Steps'

When looking at my step goal in 'At a Glance' it shows 7820 as my goal for today. However when I click through to 'Steps' the goal has changed to 9780. If I reach my goal at 7820 then by tomorrow it will use 9780 as my goal and record that I didn't hit my goal. Its been like this since Monday 9 September, before this date, the goal varies and reflects my goal from the 'At a Glance' section. My app is set to Auto Goal so should adjust based on my activity the previous day but seems to be set to the default of 9780 when Auto Goal is switched on.

Auto-goal uses the value of several recent days to calculate the goal. Use the fix goal, if the auto-goal does not meet your expectations.

As for the discrepancy between the glance and the detailed screen - sometimes an additional syncing may be needed to fix it. Again, with a fixed goal, you won't have this problem. Otherwise, you can consider reporting it to the Product Support through their website at https://support.garmin.com.
