Do I have to add credit cards AGAIN after reinstalling Garmin Connect?

As the subject says.

If I have credit cards added to Garmin Connect and I uninstall and reinstall GC.  Do I have to add the credit cards again?

Garmin Pay in GC shows no cards after the reinstall.  But my FR965 still has the cards that I added previously.  The watch syncs with the phone all the time, but there is a mismatch between the watch and Garmin Connect on the phone.

Garmin Pay works fine everywhere I've been using it.

The reason I don't want to just add the cards again, is that it's an inconvenience and I don't think I've ever gotten away without having to call the bank. 

  • Sounds as if you created a new Garmin Connect account instead of reusing the old one, when reinstalling the app. Sign out, and then sign back in with the original credentials. If you do not remember the email you used originally, check out your email archive, and see what address Garmin sent you emails in that time.

  • I did not. All the other data is there.  Just the credit card info is missing. 

  • In that case, as long as you can pay with the watch, I'd just use it as it is.

  • Update after poking around some. There are multiple Garmin Pay sections in the GC app. 

    1. One is under the "More" button. I.e. More->Garmin Pay.

    2. The other for me, us under the device section.  I.e.More->Devices->FR965->Garmin Pay.

    My card information *is* actually shown in #1 above but not in #2.  I still expect it to be there, but since it is working, I will stop worrying about it for now :).
