Activity notifications

The notification after an activity recording no longer seems to work.

Pretty annoying as this notification was helpful to know when my Edge bike computer has finished syncing.

    I'm not getting a notification to my Android phone from activitiy uploads in general, using an Edge 1040, Edge 530, and Forerunner 955 Solar. These were working reliably until the last week or so.

    Same here. No activity notification on Android with Fenix 7ss.
    Sync is working fine. Notification is missing but is enabled in settings.
    Occurs since 3-4 weeks.

    This problem has been occurring for over a month.
    In solving this problem, I have reached a point where a downgrade of the ‘GarminConnect’ app to v5.3 restores the activity notifications.

    GC versions v5.4 upwards only signal a snapshot, no activity.

    Unfortunately, I was forced to upgrade GC again to the latest version because v5.3 didn't allow to add fenix to profile/account :/.

    Evidently the Garmin developers messed up the notifications in the GC version starting with v5.4x - because earlier versions work, so clearly the problem lies with the mobile app itself.

    I wonder when the GC developers will finally start fixing bugs instead of adding new ones in every release.

    Seems to be fixed on Android.

    that's right, GC v5.6 fixed the notifications

    Not really fixed. Don't always get a notification. And when I do get it, it's about 5 to 10 minutes after finishing the activity.

    I'm not sure it is fixed as I'm currently on Version 5.6 and I'm still not getting push notifications to my Venu 2 watch when an activity has been uploaded.

    It's not fixed (not to the way it was a couple of months ago). Notifications "sometimes" come thru as soon as activity is uploaded, but not always. Sometimes 10-15 minutes later, maybe when Connect app syncs with cloud? Don't always see notifications on Venu 2 either, maybe 75% of time. SG10e Android, etc, etc,etc.

    Owing this stuff should not consume this much of my time. Garmin needs to get better QA for software. I really hope those programmers do not EVER work on the avaition devices. Planes will be dropping out of the sky.
