'Turn notification' while creating courses missing on garmin connect for android and web interface

Hi all, Just bought a garmin 965, primarily for the turn by turn notifications. First, the turn by turn option did not appear on my watch for a custom course i created on komoot(which i export it to garmin connect) but appears if the watch randomly calculates a course. So the feature exists. Then after some digging i realized that the turn notification needs to be toggled as shown in the video at 0:50 youtu.be/OK1OVTKNLCU On my android and web app the turn notifiction option just does not show up. Even when i create a new course. Am i somehow missing it? Should have appeared below privacy.

The origin is possibly the cause. The original file from Komoot probably does not support the turn-by-turn instructions. Try duplicating the course in Garmin Connect, and see whether the option then appears in the new duplicated file. If not, try creating a new course with Garmin Connect, or with a tool supporting the navigation instructions, such as for example plotaroute.com

The screenshot I have shared is of creating a new course on Garmin connect. Same problem with web interface.

Hm, strange, I do have it there, both on Android as well as on iPhone. Do you have more devices registered in your GC account? If so, which of them is set as the Primary Wearable Device?

Also for course type "cycling" ? Cycling courses usually do not support TBT. Probably for safety reasons.

I assume that this is the problem here. Probably changing the course type will help.

Yes for the running course type, it appears, not for cycling. Any idea how to get turn by turn notifications for cycling?

thats a video about RUNNING. Running allows TBT.

It does if you create a 'round-trip course' on the watch.
