Vivoactive 4 wont connect to to phone

My vivioactive wont connect to my anymore since yesterday. ive tried the information provided on the forums as well as a soft reset on my watch and also uninstalling and reinstalling the Garmin Connect App on my phone.

Also the phone battery is depleting within an hour.

Any ideas on how to fix? the software version on the watch is version 8.3 so its up to date.

  • Which brand of phone? If your Wi-Fi and your phone access point support the 5GHz band, switch to it from the default 2GHz, which is also used by Bluetooth, and may cause this kind of problems due to the interference. If you cannot use 5 GHz, temporarily disable the Wi-Fi on the phone entirely and use mobile data while testing whether the problems go away in this way.

  • Thanks, I tried this but it did not work. I also tried turning off my mobile data and that did not work either.

    Could a connection have shaken loose inside of the watch?

    It can still connect to GPS but wont connect to bluetooth on my phone. I have a samsung A34. 

    I also tried connecting it to my work iphone and also to my wife's samsung A34 and was not able to connect.

    The phone connection can be disabled in the settings, or by the Battery saver. You can try resetting the watch to factory defaults. If it does not help, there are some more tips in the Sync / Connection Troubleshooting Guide.  Use the last tip (contacting the Support) if nothing of the previous ones helps.
