Garmin Connect ver 4.69.1 anyone?

The current version of Garmin Connect for Android is 5.4.1.

Just wondering who's still running 4.69.1 the last version with the old two-circile layout that shows Elevation Gain or Total Ascent?

  • You can install it yourself if you want. Old versions of the app are available for example at apkmirror.com

  • Reason I asked, I have seen a number of people posting their workout with that layout but Total Ascent is missing from where that data field used to be. So I'm wondering if even with the old layout Garmin has managed to remove it for Trail Running activity.

  • With the old version it works as it did. It is coded in the app.

  • I went ahead and installed the older version. It worked but at the same time also reminded me about the other metrics that are only available in newer releases. Oh well, I'll continue to use the overview page from Strava and the rest from Connect, when combined looks like this:

  • In the case you did not notice, in the current GC app version, all elevation data is on the tab Stats, under the section "Elevation". Just the Elevation Gain was renamed to Total Ascent there.

You could also use Garmin Connect Web, where the Total Ascent is still nicely at the top among the main stats.

  • Yes, well aware of that, I needed Elevation Gain/Total Ascent to appear in the overview page for Trail Running activity not hidden like it is now. There is a big blank space to the right of Distance that can easily be used for Total Ascent.

  • I recommend suggesting it to Garmin at Share Ideas | Garmin If there are numerous demands for this feature, there is a certain chance they change it in the future.
