Entering Garmin pay billing address

Today I got a new Vivoative 5 and trying to setup a card. Keyboard all works fine for actually entering card info, but on the next screen to enter billing address it glitches horribly. When I try to enter my address it takes many many presses to ender the 4 digit number. When it eventually get the numbers it tries to automatically guess my address none are even close many not even  in my county. and it will not let me close that autofill and continue typing my actual address. And the autofill list actually flickers, and will not let me pullup the keyboard at all. No other app does this, and the keyboard works everywhere else in the phone.

I've tried restarting the phone and it always does the same thing. Garmin connect just installed an hour ago for the first time, on a Pixel 7 Pro.

  • I see the same when I try it. Instead of writing the address in the address field you can write the address in the first name field. Then copy that text and paste it into the address field. Then all addresses that matches that text will popup and you can select the right one.

  • For those coming along with the same problem, this was the perfect solution.

  • I ran into the same problem, and I've had the app for years, and have multiple cards already in Garmin pay.  I tried the copy/paste trick, and the result was my app crashed and now I've got the new card partially added (who knows what address it has) and unverified, but I can't get it to send me the code either.  I tried to remove the card, and it isn't really removing it, either.  So, the copy/paste work-around might work, but it might not. There's definitely something going wrong with the address form that needs to be addressed!

  • Hello! You just made this work for me. I was stuck at Address line 1 where I could enter only 1 character and then the whole flow become broken. Your suggestion to enter the address line as the Name and then copy/paste worked first time. Thanks a lot. It's quite surprising to see this kind of bug on a device which costs quite a lot.

  • I've gotten a new phone since posting this,  but haven't tried setting up the payment side of he app again. Hopefully it's all still n in the account, but I'm guessing probably not. Glad that this post is still helping others. Thanks fit the fix Andy!
