Activities not appearing in training load graph

On my Epix 2 watch when I look at training readiness I can click into Acute Load and see a graph showing all of my activities. This includes Rock Climbing activities, which is the only thing on the graph as anaerobic.

On Garmin Connect, online and on Android, these activities do not appear in the graph or list of activities under Load > Exercise Load at all. But under Load > Load Focus, it shows that I have a high amount of Anaerobic activity.

I record rock climbing on my old watch (Venu 2 Plus).

Question:

- Is it just some strange bug that I record this activity type on a watch that didn't come with the Training Load feature?
- Is it just some strange bug that rock climbing/bouldering doesn't appear in exercise load graphs?

It's just very odd that the graph is correct on my watch and missing data on Garmin Connect.

Thanks Slight smile

I'd rather tell it is odd that it appears on the watch at all, since you tell you recorded it with Venu 2 Plus, and that model supports neither Training Readiness nor Training Status.

I recommend recording the climbing with the more advanced watch instead. If you fear damaging it, or if it poses a safety risk, you could keep it in the backpack, in the pocket, attached to your equipment, to the ankle, etc. You can either continue using the Venu 2 for capturing the HR (set it into the HR broadcasting mode instead of starting the activity on it), or preferably use a HRM chest strap.

  • Wow thank you, I didn't know I could use HR broadcasting on my old watch to my new.

I tested that last night and the climbing activity appears in all graphs like normal. Like you say, it's just odd that it was appearing on graphs on the watch!
