Connect App on Android stops syncing when the .FIT file with a 0-byte length is present on the device. In my case, the device is Fenix 5.
.FIT of 0 length typically results from a crashed activity app. It often happens with the Bike App when the map is loaded with the workout. Recently the Strength App crashed also leaving 0 length .FIT
Repro:
- Create a corrupted 0-byte .FIT
- Upload it with the Windows Explorer on the device
- Try to sync with the Connect App
Versions:
- Connect App for Android v5.3.1
- Fenix 5 Firmware v25.00
Workaround:
- Connect the device to the PC
- Delete corrupted .FIT with the Windows Explorer
- Resync with the Connect App
