During activity, the only way to turn on the bike alarm on the Edge 1040 ( I don't know how it works on other series ) is to enter “Garmin Connect” on your phone. -> Devices -> Security & Tracking -> Bike Alarm. Couldn't this be made easier by being able to create a GC widget “enable alarm” and similarly a second one “disable alarm” ?
By the way, why is this option not available by holding down the Menu button on the Edge 1040 - there is only the option to lock the screen.
