My Forerunner 55 keeps losing connection/pairing

Every few days my Forerunner 55 stops synchronizing. In Android App the watch looks like turned off. I had to drop the device and add again to work for more days.

I've recently started having this exact same issue on my Forerunner 55 as well. After using the watch to track a walk today, it lost connection with my phone and on the Connect app, it's lost the pairing information so had to pair it again with the app.

Started seeing the same with a VivoActive 3 and a Pixel 7a. Had been working fine for months, but after a recent Connect App update, a few weeks ago, I have to re-pair watch every day or two.

The strange think is that I also have an Edge 830 paired to the same phone and it has never lost the pairing

A discovery, you can re-pair the watch via the android Bluetooth settings. This avoid the need to run the Garmin connect add device wizard.

Much quicker to do, let's see if the watch remains paired

My VivoActive3 has stayed paired for a week now (after pairing via the Android dialog and not via Garmin Connect App).

The last update I had to the Garmin Connect was on the 1st Aug, so I doubt that has caused a fix as I saw the issue after that. My phone has had no OS updated for a month or so.

I will keep monitoring, but this far mine seems to retain it pairing

Spoke too soon, lost pairing again. Had to repair via the android dialog

Recently I've started seeing this too my Pixel 7a. Both my Forerunner 245 and Vivosmart 4 periodically drop their connection. The Vivosmart 4 drops much more often. Turning bluetooth off/on fixes the problem, although sometimes I have to do that several times. Restarting the phone also works.

Same problem here for many weeks already. The Garmin support is redirecting me to Google, but without any technical details I cannot really approach the Google support.

I'm pretty sure mine is a Garmin problem, the watch also sometimes forgets I had set 24h time, instead of 12h.

Something is going wrong with keeping the pairing connected.
