Is there a phone number I can use to speak with a Garmin rep

I've been wearing a 945 Forerunner for many years. A number of years ago, I began having pain in my left wrist and thumb. It has interfered with my using my fingers on musical instruments. Recently, feeling frustrated, I put my watch on the other hand. I developed the same types of pain within several weeks. It didn't help when I changed to a lighter watch band.  It never the watch might be causing the pain in my small wrist, perhaps shrinking somewhat as I approach 80. Since I won't be wearing it on my wrist anymore, I wonder if there is another way to get the readings. I have a running dynamics pod, but never used it. A heart operation has made it more important to keep track of my health and exercise stats. I found other cheaper watches that are much lighter and provide many stats I'd like. Thanks for any ideas!

  • You can wear the watch on the ankle (not easy to look at it though). You can try a different, more elastic wristband. You can use a HRM chest strap such as the HRM-Pro. You can use a much lighter wristband such as the Vivsport, Vivofit, or Vivosmart.

Otherwise you can find a phone number for your region on the website at https://support.garmin.com

  • Maybe have some smart ring for the 24/7 readings and only wear the watch during workouts

  • I've gotten two good ideas, and don't feel so isolated. This is better response by far than I get from personal email. Many thanks, and best of luck with your fitness and time with Garmin!

  • Thanks, I'm going to look into all of your suggestions. If all else fails I can try only wearing it during workouts, and using the smart ring, but I've a feeling that after watching the Olympics, their grit and determination, something suggested will do the trick. I appreciate your giving some time and thought to my question! As all of you know, this forum is a winner.
