The feature to scale your training weights as a percentage of your 1RM is incredibly useful.
For example, I set my bench press benchmark, and when creating my workout, I select scale weight with benchmark at 80%.
Now I want to do the same with my dip exercise. I select scale with benchmark, but the app prompts me to create this benchmark first.
To my surprise, when I check the benchmark exercises, dips aren’t included among the only 11 options. There’s no exercise that directly targets the triceps like dips, so I can’t link it to something similar.
This issue extends to other common exercises as well, such as weighted pull-ups, leg extensions, core exercises, forearm exercises, and most back exercises (except for rows).
Garmin’s exercise library is extensive, but this missing feature limits the app’s capabilities significantly.
If anyone has found a workaround or shares this problem, I’d love to hear about it. Perhaps if enough people complain, Garmin will address this issue.
Thanks in advance,
Max
