Can I use my edge 540 with my forerunner 245 as a HR?

I've been using my Forerunner 245 on cycling activities. Now I have also Edge 540. But I don't have the bundle. It's possible to use them together?

Yes, you can. Have a look at the feature HR Broadcasting in the menus, or in the user manual. Activate it on the watch, pair the watch with Edge, and it will use it.

For training activities, the watch will be connected with the Edge, being used as a HR?

I guess it would be similar to the 245.

You can also use the 540 in Extended Display Mode so that it mirrors all the information on the watch so avoiding the problem of deciding where you are going to save an activity. You can continue saving all your activities on the 245.
