Cannot add card to Garmin Pay

Previously had an Instinct 2X with GP working perfectly.

Got the Epic and it now does not.

The problem may be Garmin Connect however as I have fully removed the bank card from GC and it will not reaccept.

Tried uninstalling, installing GC plus emptying cache data etc. Also factory reset the Epic but to no avail.

I managed to add the card details, get to my banks T&C's then click accept before it says card declined, if I think there's an error contact my bank.

Any ideas?

    Have you contacted your bank? There have been some posts in the pasts about previously accepted cards not being able to be reloaded due to changes at the bank. 

  • Yes and the bank says all fine at that end unfortunately 

  • Tried to delete GC again and the reinstall.

    BEFORE I even signed in I deleted cache and user data from the App settings then restarted and it worked!

  • I had the same issue. Took me a lot of time. Garmin support can't help at all. They even blamed me to be unable to setup garmin pay. I don't  know how often I have reset the watch to factory settings since this was the only help from Garmin support.

    Always the same error.

    SOLUTION for me was to just restart the watch after setup and the error message on the watch. Then it should work.

    Totally stupid that they can't solve this issue and even blame their customers from their own support that cant help at all!
