Training Status stopped working/updating on April 28th, when the beta ended.

Pretty much the title. I submitted a help ticket to Garmin and had to screenshot every activity I had done and upload it for Garmin to review. That was over a week ago and I haven't heard anything with regards to a resolution.

I rode over 200 miles on April 28th and I consistently ride nearly every day. I didn't change anything in my ride recording workflow - all of my rides have been outside and I use my Garmin 1040 to track each ride. No new devices, sensors, etc. The 1040 has been synced after every activity. I also wear a Venu SQ, which has no trouble syncing to Connect. I even got a Sleep Savant badge recently...

Has anyone else had any issues with their training status since April 27th?

  • Make sure you got VO2 max values logged. Check the 4 week graph. Missing VO2 max values is the most common reason to why users lose the training status.

Do you have a power meter on the bike? That is required in order to get cycling VO2 max values. If you don't have a power meter then the Venu SQ is the one that is reporting VO2 max values.

  • Yea same since April 28th but my data should all be running related. Suddenly no status. I'm using Fenix 5 and as far as I know is updated as I have updates on auto. Sucks. Thinking of binning it and getting a different brand.

  • Same question. Do you see VO2 max values in the past weeks? Maybe your max HR has changed and that makes it harder to get VO2 max values.
