New Garmin Connect APP vs Older hardware

Having used the the new app I've now reverted to the old version.. (Android)

1)

I have found that new app does not download Courses to my 820 Explore Cycle computer over Bluetooth - this is a pain. I would need to hook up the 820 with a USB cable to a computer - back to the dark ages. You can ask for a download to device but the course does not appear on the 820.

2)

More minor issue is the app only displays Resting Heart rate from my Forerunner 35. I.e no last known / peak etc.

Maybe I'm unlucky but I'd be wary of using the new app if you have older hardware. Feels like lack of testing rather than a deliberate ploy to force hardware upgrades. I hope we are not headed back to the days of poor quality software.

Not rated to the app...but who thought it was a good idea to make the web version the same the app.....  I had a whole page of reports showing different aspects of life....
