Fenix 6 keeps losing pairing Pixel 8 Pro

Ever since updating phone to a Google Pixel 8 Pro my Fenix 6 Sapphire keeps losing its pairing on Garmin Connect. After about a week of being paired, it simply disappears off the Garmin Connect app as though it never existed, and there is no sign of it in the bluetooth devices anymore. I go through the pairing process and it registers it as a completely new device each time, along with a welcome email and then a massive sync to catch up with all the data. It's then fine again for another week or so. This has only happened since I updated phones to a Pixel 8 Pro. I have tried restarting my watch but the symptoms remain.
