Welcome too the party buddy... The app on all platforms if disliked by the vast majority as is the web interface. So you are not on you own....

.If you want you can go back too 4.77.1 which was the last good one which many have done

. You need too uninstall current version and install the Good version(link at bottom) You will only loose the app setup nothing else...

Nobody likes it and Garmin doesn't care.
