Why can I not save a course in Garmin Connect Mobile APP when I changed the name of a duplicated course?

I made a new course in Komoot and the 10 latest courses are synchronized to Garmin Connect. As these courses are PRIVAT ONLY, I have to DUPLICATE the course in Garmin Connect. However when change the DUPLICATED course and I change the name and set the course to PUBLIC I can NOT SAVE this course since a couple of days. It was possible a few days ago.

    Same here....I wanted to edit a course imported from Outdoor Active.  I duplicated the course, but none of the course appears on the map....as soon as you add a point, you get a route from the original start point to the added point.  All I wanted to do was add some course points to the original plan so that these show on my watch....had to resort to doing it on the laptop with the web version.  I'm sure I used to be able to do this with the app.  It was a circular (off road) route if that makes any difference.

    Also, just discovered that having done the above using the Web page, I can now add points to the same course on the app now.
