Quick reply sending double messages

With the new version of the Connect app, now when I do a quick reply to a text from my watch it sends my reply to the recipient twice. Happens every time and started as soon as I got the new app with the new layout.

Anyone else have this issue? Any known workaround?

If it matters I have a Forerunner 645.

Yes, that has been happening with my epix (Gen 2) for several months now. So, I don't believe it is related to the latest GC android app. Probably should report it to Garmin Support.

Contacted support, was recommended I remove my watch from the app & re-add it. Asked if that would reset my settings and was assured it wouldn't.

So I removed and re-added my watch, and A) my settings were reset and B) still double-texting.
