Can anyone explain why Garmin makes it so difficult to view active calories? I like to track it as a measure of overall activity. Yet I can't put it on my In Focus or view it on my watch. WTF. Is this to try to get me to use and link My Fitness Pal?

Yeah my point is this is easily in the top 3 metrics I want to see and I don't understand why it's so many steps to get to. Before this recent update it was visible on the home screen.
The FAQ page for the new connect app homescreen shows a screenshot of calories burned in the glances section.
There appears to be no way to do this under the Edit and Add options.
I have calories on At A Glance. Does than not work for you?
Active calories? I only see option to add "Calories in Calories out" which is not what I want
Weird it's not an option for me. Here is a screen grab of the ones they give me as options to add.
I added Calories In/Out
Granted, it is an extra step to see active calories.
Right so "Active Calories" is not on your "In focus." It's "In Out" which I don't understand, don't care about, and doesnt seem to mean anything if you aren't using MyFirnessPal.
It's there, but it's an extra step to get to it. Tap Calories In/Out then look at Active. I'm not using MFP either.
If you don't want the extra step you can address it with Garmin Product Support or submit a request - Share Ideas | Garmin
It could happen some day.

The Calories In/Out was at least previously only visible when you were connected to MFP. I only got a "Calories burned" card showing just total, active and rest calories.
Try disconnecting MFP or connecting it and disconnecting it if you aren't connected.
I did a test now. I had the Calories burned card. I installed and connected MFP and the card changed to Calories In/Out. I then disconnected MFP and the card switched back to Calories burned.
