New Garmin connect mobile updated home page is awful

I cannot believe how bad the new Garmin connect home page is. Why remove the ease of viewing my day with one glance of the app?. Now have to scroll through the page to see all the info that was contained in my day section.  On top of that, the user has no ability to bring back the old display or edit it to something similar. This new update is so annoying I suspect my next smart watch won't be a Garmin.

If this home page stays as is, I will no longer be a Garmin user for ANY of their products.

Update to moderator.   Nothing in my original post was "uncivil".  Why do you keep censoring my comments?

  • Yeah, nobody can say that the new layout is good design, it's empty space and complicated. You can find better solution from this forum made by one user in probably within hours.

  • How many are just saying: I hate this, I dislike it, etc. Not that many who actually give specific examples what exactly it is that they are missing.

    THIS

  • On at least a daily basis, I used to look at my Connect home page and see my training status as well as looking into the details after an activity.  Now I need to click on menu, then performanc Stats, then finally Training Status just to see the same thing.  Same thing with HRV, was something Ilke to check every morning.  Now turned into a click-fest with no option of gathering the info that I want without all the clicks in between.  Even just checking my Sleep score which I like doing every morning after waking, needs an extra click again where is option to ease this pain?  The icons are so big now that I see only one item in view unless I swipe up, that being body battery level.  I don't want a bunch of empty black space, it tells me nothing and never helps.  Burying something three deep in menus that was immediately visible before is a negative experience, regardless of how much sense it makes to do so.  If I want the menus change, then allow me the option to do so at a time that suits me rather than just going ahead and re-arranging everything with no option to undo.

  • I think quite a few have made it quite clear what's wrong with it.

Also if you think it's just a few malcontents then why have so many given it a one star on Google apps in many languages.

  • Fully agree, this version is disaster. I was beta tester and gave many times negative feedback for thus update.

Garmin need to react to the feedback, improve the existing or allow user to select the previous version.

  • Also if you think it's just a few malcontents then why have so many given it a one star on Google apps in many languages.

    figures ?

  • I don't need to do the comparisons. I'd put money on the fact that there were very few posts about the app and its shortcomings before v5.

  • As of this morning the app has dropped from 4.4 stars before the update to 4.2
