New Garmin connect mobile updated home page is awful

I cannot believe how bad the new Garmin connect home page is. Why remove the ease of viewing my day with one glance of the app?. Now have to scroll through the page to see all the info that was contained in my day section.  On top of that, the user has no ability to bring back the old display or edit it to something similar. This new update is so annoying I suspect my next smart watch won't be a Garmin.

If this home page stays as is, I will no longer be a Garmin user for ANY of their products.

  • Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like the new home page. I can't see all the information I want in one view and I have to drill to the details in a big title view. Very Bad UX.

    Not sure what the designer was trying to achieve with the new one.

  • I really really hate it. how can I get the old one back? I don't can't get on with this new one. I don't think I ever will. can we go back to the old one

  • Totally agree. Don't know what Garmin were thinking here. The new home page is awful!

  • I'm so annoyed that I accidentally updated my app. What is this mess they've released?

    At a glance? Not in the slightest. 

    It's so user unfriendly. The app previously was really good (with the exception of setting an alarm 5 layers deep).

    I'd love to say they'll take the feedback on board but if they'd looked at the beta comments then this would never have been released.

  • Totally agree!! I like the old home page better where I could see everything . This new home screen is a time waster.

  • Since customer forums are usually ignored, I went to the Garmin Homepage/Contact Us/Submit Feedback/Improve Product and sent:

    "Please revert your changes to Garmin Connect Web/App.  As can be seen in the forum, the changes are almost universally panned.  Per Garmin's Value statement, honesty, integrity, and respect are not met.  Please state the reasons for the changes (honesty), were there any customers requesting changes (integrity), and Garmin's response to the forums (respect)."

    I would suggest other similar responses via Garmin or other sites/apps that will get Garmin to notice.

    The new app came back 2 days later. I asked Connect tech support if there was a way to disable app updates in the app and they said no.

    I reverted to 4.77.1 again just now, and opened Play Store's settings for updates and disabled automatic updates for all apps...hopefully that will keep the abomination away.
