New Garmin connect mobile updated home page is awful

I cannot believe how bad the new Garmin connect home page is. Why remove the ease of viewing my day with one glance of the app?. Now have to scroll through the page to see all the info that was contained in my day section.  On top of that, the user has no ability to bring back the old display or edit it to something similar. This new update is so annoying I suspect my next smart watch won't be a Garmin.

If this home page stays as is, I will no longer be a Garmin user for ANY of their products.

Update to moderator.   Nothing in my original post was "uncivil".  Why do you keep censoring my comments?

  • Yes, but DO NOT install the APK INSTALLER. It is not needed at all. Android can install APK files without third-party applications. All you need is the APK file. Android can handle installing it by itself through file manager.

  • Does anyone know how to get the old layout? If you figure it out let me know, I'm considering uninstalling.

  • Agreed,  [Moderated: language].  Why Garmin?  Why?  Please fire the brain child of this change and let's go back to the previous layout.

  • Graphs give information in one glance.  Now I need to click on each separate block to get basic information.  What an improvement!  And now it's on the App.  Just terrible.  Please explain the reasoning for the change.  Better yet, change back to the old style.

  • How do I get back my old homepage on the app? [Moderated: language]

  • After spending some time with the “new” Garmin Connect, I must admit, it’s not nearly as bad as I initially thought.  I read some reviews both on the forum and Facebook suggesting spending time working with the app before completely giving up on it.  My greatest objection at first was the inability to populate “At a Glance” with my choices of activities.  It was easy to delete activity, but Garmin didn’t describe that adding activities to the first group require drag and drop.  So, for now, I’m ok with the changes to the Android app, and the web-based app is ok, but I miss all the bells and whistles on the iPad app which I only used occasionally to deep dive into some of the statistics, challenges, badges, and histories.  My initial impression of Garmin’s arrogance has mellowed some, but I do believe Garmin could have done a better job of preparing existing users for the change along with operational videos to help us make the change.  Bottom line, for now, I’ll give the new version a chance; the information I need the most is available.

  • I agree 100 that the new homepage is awful!  I want the old one back if possible.

  • Horrible update forced on me after trying the beta. I switched back from the beta cause it was horrible and now forced on me.

  • Hate the new format. Bring back the original and fire the clown that thinks this is better. I tried the beta and switched back stating I hated it. Now it’s forced on me.

  • Count my wife and I among those dissatisfied with the new Garmin Home page layout!  We both prefer the old Homepage.
