Here’s the link: Poll: Garmin Connect Mobile IOS v5.0
Started a poll to which I invite Android users to participate and rate the new home screen. I didn’t start a new thread with it here to prevent duplicate votes.

Give us a quickbutton option to choose classic look or just change it back immmediately. I had the beta weeks ago and gave Garmin the feedback that the new version was terrible.
Complete downgrade was…
Horrible update. I don't understand when companies downgrade their products to less user friendly versions. I spent almost 5 minutes just trying to figure out how to add a new weight. I had my home screen…
Change it back immediately please!!! Terrible
Mark app in Google Play/Appel Play as harmfull...
As described early this evening by CL it is possible to go back to the old version on Android device. I have successfully done this just now on Samsung smartphone - thankyou CL
If each person who successfully goes back to the old version can post this info, it will always be near the new end of the thread, then others will see it
1. Unistall Garmin Connect (you will not lose your data, it is not stored on your device, but on Garmin server)
2. Get old version of app from
3. Go to my files -> downloads folder or wherever you saved it
4. Run the installer
5. You may need to change a security setting for the browser that you used to go to the installer, in my case Chrome, to enable you to install an app from somewhere other than GooglePlay
6. Once installed, go to GooglePlay, search for and find GarminConnect and go to the 3 dots at the top right of your screen. Untick 'Enable auto-updates'
7. Open GarminConnect app, sign in, enjoy your app once more
Also had to block automatic APP update.
Open the Play Store Google Play app.
Tap the profile icon in the top right.
Tap: Settings, then Network settings, then Auto-update apps
Switch to manual update.
Otherwise 4.77 will be updated to 5.0 again
Don't forget to manually update other apps to GC 4.8 (5.1) with 4.77 GUI will back
Horrible update - I don't need quite icons and almost meaningless graphs, they only waste screen space. Just give me number and an easy way to move them to suit my interests. The " focus" section is almost worthless. What I want to see is current value for steps, heart rate, and a link to the last activity. Clicking any of those should bring up the appropriate graphs. Then in "at a glance" could select what to include numbers for things like intensity minutes, stress, VO2, etc. along with links the desired "trends" information - although I'm only interested in running.
This update is terrible. Please let us revert back to the old design!
