transferring a gpx file from an Android smartphone to a Garmin 830?

I have saved a gpx file onto an Android smart phone. How to save this gpx file onto either Garmin Connect mobile or to my Garmin 830?

Is this a course or an activity? You can add the GPX file to the GARMIN\NewFiles folder. Or you can use Garmin Connect Web to import it. It will then also be on the Garmin Connect Android app.

thanks for response - Not sure if it a course or activity... I just downloaded it from a website. So most likely it is a course.

I unfortunately have no idea where to find that GARMIN folder on my phone. But have no problem when using Connect Web, Problem is I don't always carry a laptop around and have been trying to do this all just on my Smart phone.

If you have android, and you have the correct connectors/adapters, you can connect your Edge 830 to your phone and browse the Edge folders and files.

Also, If you open Garmin Connect Web (not the app) from your phone, you can import the file

If it's a course - https://connect.garmin.com/modern/courses. Click on the import link. Then open the app and the course, then send to device.
It it's an activity - https://connect.garmin.com/modern/import-data
