How do you indicate you have completed a workout activity on your workout calendar?

This is my 2nd day using the App. I set up a training/workout schedule with the first run/walk event on my calendar yesterday. I completed the activity, but I don't know how to check off it was completed. You see the run/walk details in my stats but the actual training event is as if it was not completed. Therefore the workout for today, on my workout calendar says "Workout, stay tuned for details." How can I keep progressing from one day to the next on my workout calendar? If it's not automatically completing it for me as I run and walk through out the day? Other apps allow you to press "start" somewhere as you complete the workouts. Thanks everyone in advance.
