I deleted the activity from Garmin Connect but it did not change my health data.

I recently purchased a used Garmin Forerunner 965. When I synced it with Garmin Connect, it pulled up activities that were already recorded on the device. I have manually deleted all these activities from Garmin Connect, but it still altered my health data, such as VO2max, Body Battery, training status, etc.

What should I do to resolve this situation?

    The best solution is starting from the scratch anew. Reset the watch to factory defaults with the option Delete All Data, and create a new Garmin Connect account. If not, then just wait a few weeks and eventually all metrics will be replaced with yours.

  • Seems like the lesson here is that if you acquire a previously owned device (used) you should do a Factory Reset to be sure this kind of thing doesn't happen. When you plug it in to Express to register the device it will update any software to current versions anyway. And I suppose that's why I'be been told not to pair it to Connect before doing a reset and getting rid of someone else's profile and activities.
