Displayed temperature is wrong

I have an issue with the weather forcast temperature. The temperature displayed is different to the one shown in the hour per hour details of the weather forcast widget details (that corresponds to the real one btw). For example now it should be 25°C, but the watchface displays 14°C. I have a Poco x4 gt, latest firmware, and an Epix pro 2 sapphire, and I'm living in Switzerland.

  • I found the reason. I'm living near a mountain, equiped with a weather station, and it gived me the temperature at 2000m... As my altitude is 750m, there is quite a difference... Blush Garmin should check the altitude of the nearest station and take one with equivalent altitude...

  • Well, it's not only the altitude, so automatically discarding some nearest weather stations might be difficult for Garmin. For example, where I live, one of the nearest weather stations is on a small lighthouse in the middle of a large lake. Luckily it's only the *second* nearest weather station to where I live (so my watch is not usually using it), but you can imagine that wind speeds etc. are quite different from that station, if you are on land. But then again, if you are sailing, you definitely want to use that station. And there are probably many similar cases.

Probably the only thing that could work is that you could manually discard weather stations so that they are not used (this could happen either in the watch or in Garmin Connect Mobile).

  • Good idea, however I cannot find a menu allowing to discard a weather station, neither in the watch, nor in Garmin Connect Mobile (at least on Android)... You have a trick ? Oh, I just understand that it could be a solution, but it does not exist by now, right ? Blush

  • Yes, there's no such thing currently, unfortunately.
