Can't select photo directory

When I want to share an activity with a photo, I can t reach my own photos. I can use the camera and maybe the Viber folder. I see the photos what I got from others not my own.

How can I find my own photos?

The problem is that Garmin Connect does not recognize the HEIC format that all Android phones now use. Users have been complaining about this lack for years, but Garmin doesn't care.
