Vívosmart HR

Since we have HR capabilities, why do we not have access to more detail sleep stats? Why don't we have REM in the stats?

Because Vivosmart HR does not support the feature of Advanced Sleep Monitoring. Besides the HR, it needs to be able to read also the HRV. AFAIK, this is possible only since Vivosmart 3, in this line of models. See the last section of the article: New Advanced Sleep Monitoring in Garmin Connect | Garmin Customer Support
