Sync from egym app to garmin connect app

Hello,

I connected egym with garmin connect to sync my gym workout into the connect app but unfortunately the sync works only in the direction from garmin to egym.

How can I fix that ?

Best regards

Marvin

  • Has egym implemented the function to transfer workouts to Garmin Connect? There should in that case be a checkbox in the integration that you can check to get the workouts. If there is no checkbox then you have to talk to egym and ask them to implement it.

  • How can I fix that ?

AFAIK, you can't. Only eGym could change it, but it would require a higher level of API access which is available only to selected certified partners, and possibly some license fees may be involved, so it is uncertain whether eGym would be willing to do it. You can try suggesting it to them.

If you can export activities from eGym in one of the supported formats (best in the FIT or TCX file format), then you can import those activities manually  at https://connect.garmin.com/modern/import-data

  • Thank you for the response!

I wrote egym too yesterday but no answer yet. If I get new information I'll share it here.

The manual import is good hint. This will be my second question to egym if the direct import isn't working.

    Best regards

  • And? Any luck?

  • Unfortunately no solution without any reason...

Here is the answer of the support:

"Data transfer between the EGYM app and all connected apps, including Apple Health, Garmin, Strava, etc. only runs in one direction.
With Apple Health, the calorie information or a minute value is also transmitted, depending on the workout.

The training data flows from the connected apps into the EGYM Fitness app, but unfortunately not the other way around."
