v4.77 - no info in Music Control

Same here. No metadata in music control no matter which music player I use. I use Forerunner 965

I thought I was going crazy. Glad to see it is not just me. 

Android 14, Pixel 6a, Vivoactive 4 & Instinct (1 - regular original)

I decided to try the beta....The music controls & metadata work in the beta.

UPDATE: It only worked the first time.  It is blank again.

I've tried the beta too but didn't work on Instinct 2s.

Must have been a fluke.  I'm back in the same boat.  I had tested right after I switched.  Saw your post, checked again & It is blank again.  (I was using Poweramp on my pixel 6a with Android 14)...oh well

I also have the same problem on my Galaxy S10+

After checking some settings I noticed that if you check the phone permissions on the garmin connect app you see that "Files & Media" is always disabled even though it is actually enabled on android itself. So far I havent found a workaround.

How did you downgrade the app, is there an official site to do it?

No official downgrade that I am aware of. Garmin themselves has been linking to APK mirror site. I've used that site without problems for years. I'm using the 4.76 version of the Connect app found on that site. Works very well. Just uninstall 4.77 and install 4.76. Remember to turn off automatic updates in Play Store 

v4.77.1 also does not work for music display.
