My Fenix 6 has stopped downloading golf courses.

My fenix 6 has stopped downloading golf courses, it used to no problem but now it won’t.  I have deleted and reloaded the connect app and reset the phone to default settings etc but it still does not download a course to the watch. It also does not download a new watchface from garmin IQ. +

  • Try deleting the courses from the Downloaded Golf Course menu in the Garmin Connect mobile app > Then re-download the courses with a max of 5 in the list.

Then the next time you are at the course, make sure to open the Garmin Connect mobile app > Confirm your fenix is synced > Then start the round on the watch while outside to see if the course then loads properly.

    • Occasionally, as updates to the CourseView mapping are made...they may need to be removed and re-downloaded if there is an issue loading the course.
    • Make sure to use the Downloaded Golf Courses menu in the Garmin Connect mobile app, and not the downloaded courses section of the Garmin Golf app. Since the fenix 6 strictly syncs only in the Garmin Connect mobile app...the Garmin Golf app downloaded courses section will not apply the changes to the watch for downloaded courses.

If you continue to have the concern, contact Garmin Support to discuss further solutions.

  • No I have done this many times but still no joy, I have deleted the connect app as well and reloaded but no difference.  It appears to sync ok as everything else works but the main reason for this watch was the golf app! I have emailed garmin support with this problem but no answer yet
