How can I fix Chronic load not updating any more?

My chronic load does not update anymore. How can I fix this?

  • The chronic load has a minimum where it stays and doesn't go lower even if your acute load goes very low (like in your case happened). When the long-term average of your acute load used to calculate the chronic load raises again above the minimum, you'll start seeing the chronic load raise.

  • Thanks, that explains it. It would be very helpful to have this explanation on the help section in the app on the training load page. Currently only training load is explained, chronic load is not even mentioned. And of course details on the calculation like the average of how many days? would help. Do you know what's the best way to hint Garmin this would be of help?

  • You can find those things in your watch manual and/or Garmin's support pages for the watches that calculate the loads. For example: support.garmin.com/.../

(The fact that chronic load has a minimum is not mentioned anywhere I've read, though.)

  • Hello, my chronic load has also been stagnating for more than 28 days. How is the minimum chronic load calculated? Does the load ratio for weeks with a low acute training load still have any significance?
Maybe I don't understand the system, but it's difficult for me to understand.
