I have a secondary race on my training plan. Why is it not incorporated into my plan? I also can't add it to my training plan and it has a long run that day instead of my race.

I have two half marathons within a month. The Garmin coach plan is great for my target race , but is completely ignoring the secondary one 4 weeks before,  scheduling speed repeats 4 days before and a different run on race day. Doesn't make sense that a secondary race can be added, but is not incorporated into my plan. Any advice, or am I missing something?

  • Garmin Coach don't look at other races. It only tries to make you meet the goal for the race you set up for the coach. You have to plan the tapering and planning yourself for other training and races. The coach will then adapt to the workouts you do in the plan. Skip the ones that don't fit for your race.
