background connection

Every time I close the Garmin Connect app, the watch displays the message "Phone Disconnected". Is there any setting for the app to run in the background and not disconnect from the watch??

You can suppress the alert:

More > Garmin Devices > select your watch > Notifications & Alerts > System Alerts > Phone Connection Alerts = off.
