How can I disable uploading tracks to Connect servers while still using GPS on the watch?

TL;DR

AS A Garmin watch user
I WANT TO prevent uploading GPS tracks for activities from Connect Mobile to Connect servers
SO I can still use GPS on the watch for heading, speed, elevation and location without ever uploading them

Full version

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a way to block uploading tracks for activities while still having access for GPS info locally on the watch while doing said activity.

Tools I know that do NOT do the thing:
1. Disabling data upload - it just shuts the app down almost completely. I lose everything - steps, pulse, activities, any social elements etc. I'm OK with "Walking" and "Swimming" in my server profile, I just want to cut GPS info out of it.
2. Disabling GPS for activities - makes sense for things like indoor cycling and works with walking because it can count steps. But it also denies me any GPS info - so no outdoor cycling speed, no GPS bearing, and even a direct request for location will be denied.
3. Privacy bubbles - I don't have time to cover the whole planet with them, and even with privacy bubbles the track is still uploaded to the server for no good reason and is exposed in an account loss or data breach.
4. Manually creating activities from what I've got on the watch - not for the price tag.

Ideally, there should be a flag in Settings > Profile&Privacy > Activities that will make the app completely skip the whole track when sending a new activity to the server. But so far I wasn't able to find anything like this. Any suggestions?

Thanks!
