Language issue

Since the last watch update some days ago the lap notifications from my watch (Forerunner 955 solar) are coming on a for me unknown language... (maybe swedish?). Even if I set it to hungarian (my mothertongue), or to english. Please, help!

Which language is in the settings of the Garmin Connect app? Usually it is in Device Settings » Phone » Audio Prompts » Dialect, but it may differ, depending on your watch model.

Thanx for your swift reply.

I have several languages under dialect. I set hungarian, but it is still talking in an unknown language. If I set it to english, it's the same. It simply doesn't change the language.

The documentation ( at Enabling Spoken Audio Prompts in the Garmin Connect App | Garmin Customer Support ) tells the following:

If you receive the audio prompt from the watch to your paired headphones it will be in the language you have set it the Garmin Connect app. If you receive audio prompts from your phone to your paired headphones it will be in the language you have set from your phone's text-to-speech settings. Consult your phone's manufacturer for the location of the text-to-speech settings.

If that does not help, then I recommend reaching out to Garmin's Support at https://support.garmin.com. You can also try asking on the FR955 forum - perhaps other users of the same model can help with another tip.
