Checked a cardio workout and there is no option to "add exercise." There was recently an app update to version 4.76.
Having the same problem today in Strength. Four days ago it worked fine.
Strength training on the app is broken. The last time it worked was on March 1. Two days later, March 3rd, the ability to add exercises was gone and is gone as of now, 12:19am PT on Wednesday March 6th…
Garmin support is at https://support.garmin.com
Thx. The point of posting here and eventually on Reddit is that one assumes Garmin has some sort of social media monitoring service that measure customer temperature. The preponderance of complaints adds weight to the PMM team to push engineering to re-prioritize around specific stories and epics. At least, that is the way it's supposed to work. This of course is in ADDITION to direct support feedback. Thanks again for the link and I will submit my note on the support hub as well.
Joined your thread to ongoing discussion - Why can't I add exercises to my cardio workout?
Does anyone know where Garmin posts answers to these comments? I feel like Garmin's silence is a deafeningly loud message about clients or customers. I'll say this - I've had am Oura ring and a Fenix for the same two yrs and have not had this kind of app issue with Oura at all, yet twice with Garmin in the past 3 months. Thank you Garmin for convincing me to not get rid of my Oura yet!
The safest way to get answers from Garmin, is calling them directly, or using the chat. You can also email, but expect a few days before getting the first canned answer. You can access all three means of communication through their Support website at https://support.garmin.com
The forum is predominantly a peer-to-peer user forum for mutual help. Although Gamin's staff occasionally post here, there is no guarantee they spot your post.
Otherwise, when having a problem with the app, the first thing to try, is testing the same operation on Garmin Connect Web - it is typically much more advanced, more stable, and more comfortable to use, especially if accessed on a computer. It is quite rare that a bug appears on both interfaces simultaneously. And it is the same case now too - at least myself, I have no problems adding exercises on GC Web.
Tried that, no luck.
Works only using Garmin Connect Web, not the app. This is the workaround until the issue with the app is resolved.
I realized today that yesterday it did not save me 20K steps and 3 activities.
I want them back visits that on the clock there are
yep - i'm having similar problems too.
Gamin appears to have broken this functionality in the app (or deliberately taken it away for some reason).
Basically the "edit" exercise option within a tracked activity, to adjust captured exercises and their details, has disappeared from HIIT
You can see the exercises recorded (whether they're correct, wrong or undetected / unknown). You just can't make any adjustments to them.
It seems to be visible / ok for strength training
Workround: use connect web
I'm on android using Connect 4.76
I don't use cardio much, so don't know what should actually be there or visible.
Thanks everyone for you comments and feedback/ideas over the last week. Sounds like this is a broader issue than just for me, but a shame that it seems like a functionality which has been turned off. Not sure how to get this feedback more directly to Garmin, but I assume they have an email so I'll try that. Happy to keep this open, but while not resolved, it seems like a tech issue rather than an individual issue.
