How do a import a shared walk from strava

I've just done a walk on strava and my battery stopped on my watch, I've upload half my walk which has linked to garmin connect, now my friend has shared the full walk with my strava but garmin connect does not pick it up , is there a way to import this across or sink shared activity from strava

You can't sync activities from Strava to Garmin. What you can do is that your friend export the activity and send it to you. You can then import it into Garmin Connect. It will be with your friends data.

Note that it will not count for challenges and badges since it isn't logged with a Garmin device.

Oh well, just six miles missing ....have to do it again and charge my garmin next time...
