These are separate beta programs. Having the beta version on your watch does not mean you should automatically be running the Garmin Connect Beta app. Anyone can join the device beta software program, if your watch supports it. The Garmin Connect Beta Program is currently by invite only.
How Do I Join the Beta Program?
At this time, the Garmin Connect Beta program is only available to select Garmin Connect users. If invited to join the beta, and provide feedback, you will receive an invitation in Garmin Connect. The amount of users invited to join the beta will increase over time.
