Suddenly crashing after sync?

Using Fenix 6S - Came back from cycle, for whatever reason when I got off it set off the incident detection mode during my Activity which I tried quitting out of. It got bit funny over it, but synced up to my phone seemingly. Soon as that happened it's now crashing every time I open it. I deleted the incident detection off garmin from the website, but no luck. Restarted the phone, uninstalled the app, cleared data and cache. Done these in few various orders trying to fix it but it's just crashing every time I open the app. I don't know if there is a way to go back one update on it. Only been happening the last hour so maybe it'll fix itself tomorrow but I'm worried because I can't find any way to contact support without phoning them (Currently out of country so not much of an option).

Anyone had Garmin Connect app do this? Any way to fix it? Tried uninstalling and clearing everything except the activity itself (Since it's long one, rather cool data).

  • So the first time you open it ((and it crashes)) after clearing data it'll give that first error. After that, no messages. Second screenshot is as far as it gets before crashing. Can't sync it at all anymore - Watch comes up saying it's still waiting for the phone. Phone won't let be go far enough to click sync.

Tried installing connect onto another device to see if the error was local or system wide. it's happening on any device I install connect on

  • Maybe there is something with the current data that crashes the app and it will resolve itself when that data is old and not being displayed on the My Day page.

Sync with Garmin Express on a computer.

Check if the activities have synced by using Garmin Connect Web.

  • Some users, especially those with Instinct 2X, indeed complain about  app crashes after the latest app update to v4.75. Until Garmin fixes the bug, I recommend uninstalling the app, disabling the auto-updates in the app store, and installing the previous version 4.74 from apkmirror.com

  • I have a similar issue here with my 255s music.

Connect crashes when syncing with the watch.

I have a Samsung S23 with Android 14 and Connect version is 4.75
