Voice prompts vs. TTS voice settings (vs. system language?)

Since the last Garmin Connect update (4.75), even though I have TTS (text-to-speech) sound on my phone set to Hungarian, the voice prompts from the watch are in English (the watch and earphones are connected to the phone).
I checked my the settings of my phone (I haven't touched this part for years anyway) and the Hungarian language is still selected for TTS.
Maybe Connect 4.75 is no longer looking at the TTS language, but at the system language (which is English for me)? Who experiences what?

  • I was wrong. Changing the language of the phone doesn't help either. So even though everything (the system language, the TTS voice, the "dialect" in the Connect app) was set to Hungarian during today's run, the voice messages were still in English. Even the Connect app interface was switched to Hungarian. I don't understand ...
By the way, yes. That's the last menu item you see. What can you adjust in the "volume option"? The volume of the voice message?
They seem to have managed to mess something up in this version. Otherwise, it would be cool if the language of the voice that is spoken over the phone was the same as the one you set in the "dialect".
Do you think I could report this to them somewhere? I don't think they read this forum very much.

It is just a button that generates a test announcement.

Changing the Dialect works without problems for me. Try what I suggested - toggling it to another language, triggering a test announcement through the watch, and the toggling it back. I would also recommend restarting both the phone and the watch before the testing.

For me, too. To be precise, I didn't change it (it's still in Hungarian), but if I connect the headset directly to the watch, I can hear the messages back in Hungarian (let's say, starting a walk, pressing the Lap button, then cancelling the whole workout really tests the setting).
Here, by the way, Garmin also describes that it should work as it has worked for me so far, but now whatever I do remains in English. And I already changed the TTS to German and then to English, but it didn't help. I can hear a different voice saying the instructions, but the language remains English.
I will try to contact Garmin ...
