Open the Spotify app on your watch (install it first from the Connect IQ store, if not already installed). There go to the library and select "add music and podcasts" (or something similar). Then you should be able to add playlists to your watch. Note that you cannot search arbitrary Spotify playlists on the watch, but you can add playlists from your Spotify library, or recently listened to playlists.
